This morning’s QT.  While reading Philippians 2, I came across the term Kenosis — which means self-emptying.

So I searched for good image for the term and found this one.  It’s a good study for painting metallic objects and lighting.  The title would be “Kenosis of Christ.”

There could be a better image of it — keep looking for it.  But, for now, I like this one because it’s very attractive to me and would like to paint.

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!    Philippians 2:6-8

Commentary:  This early church hymn or confession of faith is called the kenosis (self-emptying) passage by theologians and is one of the clearest biblical statements of the full deity of Jesus.
